TORITO DE CACAHUATE.- A drink originally from Veracruz worth learning to make!!

TORITO DE CACAHUATE.- From Veracruz comes this traditional drink I used to serve in my restaurants, at first I thought it was strange but since I make a BIG point of learning, teaching and serving only true Mexican offerings, I decided to try it and it was sooo good it became part of our menu. You don't find it all the time, maybe because it's an oldie but a sure goodie, believe me and one that must try, you'll see....

Very easy to make plus you can make it in other flavors too, like Coffee, Coconut or other fruits, like Guayava or Guanabana (use 1 1/2 cups of pulp and 1/2 cup simple syrup) but the Peanut one became one of our classics....

You will need:

1 can of Evaporated Milk
1 can of Condensed Milk
2 Cups Sugar Cane Alcohol (Cachaca, Sugar Cane Spirits, etc) Aguardiente in Mexico
8 - 9 oz Smooth Peanut Butter

Mix all the ingredients very well with a little bit of ice and serve as is or over ice. If not serving right away then omit the ice and blend when you're ready to serve.

Usually served over ice, unless you make a frappe type drink, in Old Fashioned glasses.

I hope you will try this. Enjoy!
